About
Katelyn Holtgrewe grew up in Troy, Illinois where her family always prioritized creativity and exploring what brings you joy. She would continue her passion for art throughout high school where she found her love of oil painting. Katelyn started her career at Southern Illinois University, Edwardsville in 2022 where she discovered her love of Printmaking. She began the exploration of the medium under Ryan Horvath who inspires her practice to this day. During this time, she also worked with Mike Stumbras on developing a voice through ceramics, which has quickly become one of her favorite mediums to work with. Her body of work consists of botanical imagery, subjects of loss, and personal growth. She also finds inspiration in consumerism and the effects it has on the environment because of her many years in retail. Katelyn is now in the process of getting her BFA and will graduate in May of 2026.
